Our Culture

Events

Our events are unique in that they are a recurring resource dedicated to the benefit of hospitalized children’s families and caregivers.

The Good Medicine Project has successfully partnered with Children’s Hospital and Ronald McDonald House of Birmingham, Hope Lodge(American Cancer Society) and Children's Hospital of Atlanta to bring relief to families of resident patients since 2019 and has been featured in local news outlets.

Our own family members and many others have told us that it would be nice to have a break from the stress, this was our call to action. We deliver services while still being empathetic, uplifting, and genuine.

Think of the program as dinner and a movie or date night with respectable comedy for families of hospitalized children. Events are held close to the effected loved one, at no cost to attendees.

Culture

It’s our vision to create a culture of support where experiences are shared with others and it is typical practice for doctors to prescribe “Good Medicine” to all caregivers of hospitalized child patients.

Summary

Medical professionals have scientifically proved that therapeutic humor, or laugh therapy, heals. Through our network of professional comedians, we provide “Good Medicine” in the form of laughter to help family members of hospitalized children break the chains of fear and pain.

Just as Proverbs 17:22 says, “A joyful heart is good medicine…”
